Origin Story
pOe didn’t come from the spotlight. He came from the part of the room where the noise dies down and people start telling the truth by accident.
Before he was “the anchor,” he was the guy who kept ending up in the same job everywhere: the person you look at when the vibes are off and nobody wants to admit it. Not because he’s the smartest. Because he’s the only one who can look at a moment without immediately turning it into a performance.
He used to run the small stuff. The remote. The playlist. The “nah, rewind that” duties. The “you’re describing what you feel, not what happened” duties. The kind of responsibility you don’t apply for — it gets assigned to you because the room can sense you won’t abuse it.
The origin moment is simple. One night a game got so stupid the group chat started acting like they were in a courtroom. Everybody had “evidence.” Everybody had “context.” Everybody had a closing argument queued up like it was a TED Talk. pOe didn’t argue. He didn’t fact-check. He just said one line that made everyone reset and laugh at the same time.
That line didn’t go viral. It did something worse: it became repeatable.
So now pOe shows up when the sports moment starts mutating — when a normal thing tries to become a crisis, when a tiny mistake tries to become a moral failing, when fan behavior starts writing checks the game can’t cash. He frames it, tags it, lets the beat sit there, and moves on like the moment doesn’t deserve a five-part documentary.

Monday Morning Regret is a weekly comedy sports desk written for the moment after the games are over, the adrenaline has worn off, and your group chat starts saying things it can’t defend in daylight. pOe shares the anchor chair with Seraleia, and he doesn’t recap—he re-labels. He treats the week like a messy kitchen after a party: nothing is broken, but everything is sticky and somebody needs to say what happened before everyone pretends they “barely drank.” He’ll turn a highlight into “a confident decision made with no plan to be remembered,” call a collapse “a browser tab your brain closed to avoid accountability,” then move on like he didn’t just read the room’s credit card statement out loud. By the time the desk is done, the week isn’t fixed—it’s filed, stamped, and placed gently on the counter where you can’t ignore it.
It’s Always Rays in Tampa Bay (Always Rays)
It’s Always Rays in Tampa Bay is Halfbak3d’s ensemble Rays show: one team, multiple emotional support strategies—so the bar becomes a weekly summit where everyone agrees the Rays rule and immediately disagrees on what that means. The same team stays at the center, but everybody at the table loves them in a different, incompatible way—so every episode turns into bar-table theology, petty trials, and “I can’t believe you’re like this” friendships. The bar setting knocks pOe out of pure desk-anchor mode and into his Rays-fan gear: less verdicts, more quiet conviction, the kind of guy who gets weirdly invested in the names you only learn if you’re paying attention on purpose. He’ll latch onto the next thing before it’s safe to, speak in future tense like it’s a coping skill, and then act offended when anyone calls it hope.
SIZES (Small Hoops)
SIZES is Halfbak3d’s weekly NBA week with the volume knob snapped off: tiny plays treated like world events, huge egos treated like weather, and every overreaction delivered with a grin like it’s scheduled content. It’s the league at maximum volume—glossy, loud, slightly delusional—where a Thursday turns into a referendum and a quote turns into a personality test. pOe doesn’t narrate the obvious. If you wanted “and then he dribbled,” you’d watch the game with captions on. He does the part where the moment gets dragged into the light and you’re forced to look at it like an adult—even though sports makes adults behave like raccoons with Wi-Fi.
Shin Guard Chronicles (SGC)
Shin Guard Chronicles is soccer as a cracked group chat: highs, lows, agenda-pushing, deranged optimism, and people arguing like their opinions have agents. pOe shows up and doesn’t stabilize anything—he escalates it with weird comparisons that land too clean to fight. Suddenly the argument isn’t about the match anymore; it’s about whatever nerve the match hit.
