The Kid

WALK-ON SIDELINE ASSASSIN
Halfbak3d’s Walk-On Sideline Assassin.
No one remembers how he got in. No one remembers approving it. No one remembers who gave him credentials. He just showed up — already operating like he belonged — and no one stopped him in time.
He works the sidelines: locker rooms, tunnels, benches, postgame chaos. He does it with a calm, polite delivery that disguises how dangerous the question actually is. He doesn’t raise his voice. He doesn’t accuse. He asks things the way a normal reporter would… if that reporter had read every reply, screenshot, rumor, and unhinged comment online five minutes earlier.
The Kid is 15. Adults underestimate him. Players forget who they’re talking to. Coaches answer one beat too honestly. By the time the room realizes what just happened, the damage is already done — not loud, not explosive — just awkwardness that hangs in the air.
Which is why no one at Halfbak3d has ever actually told him he was fired. And now he’s part of the team.
He’s used across Halfbak3d as the drop-in sideline menace — not a host, not a lead, just the kid who shows up, asks something polite that makes the room tense, and keeps it moving like nothing happened.
